We’ll share expert home insights, money-saving and energy-efficiency tips, and provide you with helpful, preventative maintenance recommendations. Together, we will:
- Make sure you have GFCI outlets everywhere you need them.
- Confirm HVAC filters have been replaced.
- Check for a braided metal hose. (Do you have it in your home? Hopefully yes!)
- And…make several other checks and recommendations as we go along.
Our expert’s guidance can help you avoid costly repairs and possibly even expensive insurance claims!
What to expect
First, you’ll book your appointment with our Home Expert. On your scheduled day and time, we’ll hold a 25-minute Zoom (or FaceTime) session with you. (We prefer a video platform, so we can share more insights and provide a more helpful discussion.)
With your permission, we’ll perform a quick walk-through of your house together, including the laundry room, a bathroom, the kitchen and basement. Some of our Members prefer to sit down for the discussion, which is fine too, and our Home Expert will also share money-saving and energy-efficiency tips.
Once the Virtual Home Checkup is complete, our expert will send a follow-up email that includes any recommendations and action items, so you’ll be even better prepared to take care of your prized possession.
The vipHomeLink app will also send you Reminders and Recommendations when it’s time to complete other home maintenance tasks!
How to prepare
Before the session, we ask that you complete the following steps:
- Log in to your vipHomeLink dashboard and view any time-sensitive Reminders or home Recommendations that your app suggests;
- Check your Completion Meter and be sure your Home Profile is up to date (initial setup is complete);
- Please view your Home Fitness Index and Money Meter for reference.
If you complete the preventative home maintenance we discuss in the call, you’ll see your Home Fitness index and Money Meter rise immediately!
